The series explores why animals of the same species fight one another and incorporates visual techniques such as slow motion, freeze frames, zooms and time slices. We designed and created a CG ‘blue-world’ environment that the footage cut to during the zoom and time slices of each battle. This blue-world enabled the narrative of the series to further explain the internal and external physiological effects these battles have on each of the animals featured and involved extensive 3D modelling and animation for each animal.

As well as the blue world effects we created a title sequence and tracked & composited text and iconography graphics over the filmed footage of the animals to further highlight their defensive and offensive physical characteristics.
