A series of films involving VFX shots of cloud and tornado like vortex formations to help promote Brother’s flagship scanner model. With the CGI clouds and tornado acting as a very literal visual representation of data transfer via cloud computing networks, we were tasked with making the clouds appear and act as naturally as possible above the scanner.

We designed and created the cloud and tornado effects using particle simulations before tracking, compositing and lighting them in the film footage.
