Manchester Makes Memories

We were required to produce the animation and creative treatment, adopting the young boy and girl characters from the previous year. We added a few more characters in the matching style to further promote the importance of family, friendship and togetherness during the festive period – and what better setting than the symbolic Manchester Christmas markets? Not forgetting the cameo appearance of last year’s iconic Santa and Rudolph animated characters. The music was also specially commissioned by Blackley Brass Band.

The animation was also aimed at highlighting the issue of loneliness experienced by many of the older generation in the UK. Loneliness in older age is a very present problem in our society and we don’t believe it’s discussed or addressed anywhere near as frequently as it should be. Loneliness in old age is often felt more during Christmas especially if loved ones are no longer with you and we wanted to highlight the importance of family and friends during times like this.
